Visibility and water movement can vary with weather and natural conditions. Listen for instructions about the route, entry, exit and regrouping signal. Keep fins clear of coral, avoid standing on the reef and maintain space around wildlife. A guide may shorten or change the plan if conditions are unsuitable; safety decisions should take priority over a particular photo or sighting.

Useful items usually include swimwear, a towel, drinking water, sun protection and a dry bag or simple waterproof pouch if permitted. Confirm whether reef footwear, wetsuits, rash shirts or personal cameras are appropriate for the chosen experience. Leave unnecessary valuables at your accommodation and secure anything taken on the water.
Practise breathing through a snorkel in calm water if the technique is new to you, but do not use that as a substitute for the operator's assessment. Mention asthma, ear problems, panic in deep water or other relevant medical concerns before the activity. The provider can explain whether its format is suitable and what alternatives exist.

Use the address or written directions supplied by the operator, because a general phrase such as “turtle snorkel” is not a reliable meeting point. Set your KukiRides pickup early enough for check-in, equipment fitting and the safety briefing. Traffic and the distance from your accommodation can vary around the island, so build in a sensible buffer.
For a return transfer, ask where the driver can safely collect you and when guests are normally ready to leave—not simply when the water portion ends.
